We always say that our children are the future of the world. By taking positive steps in taking good care of our environment, we are preparing our children’s future and making their lives well lived too. One classic way of helping our environment is by using earth-friendly products like organic baby clothing. We are not only protecting our baby’s health but we are also paving the way to stop global warming. Every little bit that we do, is one big step in saving planet Earth and ultimately our children’s future. Conventional Cotton vs. Organic Cotton Cotton is the product most often used in making clothing lines. It is also the crop that is loaded with harmful chemicals and pesticides because insects and pests pose a big problem in growing this crop. The chemicals and toxins that were sprayed into this crop are not easily eradicated, instead they are absorbed in the clothing line that they are manufactured. The dye that is used in making fabric is also hazardous as it may cause skin problems like eczema. The toxins slowly build up and cannot easily be flushed out of the system. This is another health risk as cancer may develop with the gradual increase of contaminants in the body. Organic cotton used in organic baby clothing, on the other hand, are certified natural and safe for the babies. They are grown naturally and use preventive measures to destroy insects pestering the crops. Crop rotation, weed burning, and using organic fertilizers like animal manure are used in growing organic cotton. Organic baby clothes made from organic cotton are made from fibers and finished with dyes that are environment and baby friendly. Thus they pose no risk of damaging the sensitive skin of the babies. Conventional cotton clothing is coated with resins that prevents its shrinkage and not with formaldehyde as finishing, which is carcinogenic and is a harmful skin irritant. This, on top of the 150 grams of chemicals, makes for the toxins that are ingested on every single shirt produced. Organic baby clothing is still made from the same cotton but without the harsh chemical, pesticides, and fertilizers. You are ensured of the safest and finest cotton in your organic baby clothes. Go Organic! Dressing your babies with organic baby clothing is not just about the health risk factor, but parents use it also because of the comfort factor. Organic baby clothes are also made from highly breathable cotton. With skin as delicate as the babies, it is best that you choose products that will benefit them the most, and that is organic baby clothing. With organic baby clothing, you avoid posing health risks to your babies. Using organic baby clothes means investing for your baby’s health and investing for their future as well. If it is not Retail, What is the Minimum Quantity of Clothes to Order?

Dec 29th, 2009 by admin

There are two types of orders a clothing manufacturer can handle: bulk order and small quantity order. The organization in the sewing factory is very different. Bulk order When the clothing manufacturer undertakes a bulk order, a large quantity order from medium to big size clients, the wholesale price is low.The gross margin per unit produced is quite small, but it is offset by the large quantity manufactured. Large quantity order usually means: over 5000 pieces. This type of quantity allows for the setting of a production line.It sometimes takes about one full day to organize the production line. This translates into physically moving the sewing machines so that they line up in a way that is convenient for the specific clothes to be produced. It requires expensive skills, the skills of mid to top level production people. After this set up is done, the chain works almost by itself with (less expensive) labour cost involved. Two or three days into the production, the productivity increases because the sewers get used to the new production line. When the productivity increases, the clothing manufacturer makes a profit while providing clothes at a very competitive rate. Small quantity order The other possible situation for a clothing manufacturer is to take orders from smaller clients. The price per unit is different (higher), as the organization involved is different. When taking a small quantity order of clothes, let’s say less than 5000 pieces, the organization of a production line is useless. A team of 20 to 30 sewers will achieve the production of 5000 pieces in around a week or more depending on the clothes ordered. Taking care of a small run of clothes makes the whole game of producing clothes very different for the clothing manufacturer: – The clothing manufacturer can not waste one day in organizing a production line, it takes more time to do so than the time saved by the increase of productivity. – During the few days when this small order is being produced by the sewers, the company is also preparing the next order. Translating the client file, sourcing, cutting, printing or embroideries all have to take place before sewing. That’s why small orders are dealt with by a special department in the clothing manufacturing company. This department is usually made of very skilled managers and sewers who will engage all the cost necessary to the bulk production of clothes, but these costs are spread over a small quantity, hence the price per unit. The right quantity for you If you are looking to get a small run of your own design manufactured, then the best thing to do is to speak with one of the consultants at Ellen Clothing Manufacturer (www.ellen-clothing-manufacturer.com). Your contact will help you work out what is the best quantity to order for your business. The ideal quantity for your business is not necessarily the smallest one. the right quantity might also be smaller than what you have in mind. It all depends on a number of factors: The style of the clothes and the targeted wholesale price. When discussing the size of your small run, other technical issues such as sourcing, printing, dying or stone-washing should be taken in consideration as they can involve a fix fee. Let’s take a simple example of a client looking for a t-shirts manufacturer for a small run of t-shirts. The cost of dying fabric is around 200 usd. This cost is the same whether the order is for 50 or 200 t-shirts, that’s because the cost is related to the time used for dying which is the same for 50 meters of fabric or 200 meters. Other example: When a design manager draws the pattern for a garment, this takes from 1 to 2 hours depending on the style of clothe. The cost involved (the labour time of such a skilled worker) is not related to the number of times the pattern will be used. Therefore, it might make sense to spread such cost over a slightly larger quantity, let’s say 200 clothes instead of 100. I strongly recommend being very direct about the targeted retail price or wholesale price, this is the only way your consultant can help you work out the right quantity for your order.

Having a baby is one step closer to becoming selfless. It opens a whole new world of unselfishness and sensitivity of others needs. We tend to become mindful of the things that come in and out, whether it is the food, the water, and even the clothes that our family members put on. Organic baby clothing has recently been heard. We hear so much about organic this and organic that. It is because there have been an observed increased in asthma, eczema, spots, nappy rash, bugs, and other hypersensitivity-related illnesses. More and more parents are concerned about their babies clothing and would definitely go for those without toxic substances like pesticides and fabric finishing. Organic baby clothing seems to be the smart and best alternative parents choose. What It Takes to Have Organic Clothing In order to grow organic crops that will be used in making organic baby clothes, it takes about three years to treat the land that it grows on. It must not be sprayed with any synthetic fertilizer, pesticide, and herbicide. Organic treatments such as the use of manure fertilizers and crop rotation will be employed. All natural farming techniques will be used to grow organic crops that will be made into organic baby clothing. Nevertheless, going organic does not only benefit the babies but also the entire ecosystem that we are a part of. A single shirt made of a 100 percent organic material saves a third for every hundred pounds of synthetic fertilizers and chemicals because growing these organic crops does not use chemical fertilizers that are sprayed from above, hence, affecting nearby houses, rivers and even people who would also ingest the chemicals. To ensure that a field grows certified organic crops, it should be chemical free for 3 years and should conform to certain standards. What Organic Baby Clothes Are Made Of Organic baby clothes are made from toxic-free substances and are also free from flame retardants, petrochemicals, heavy metals, and other toxins that could be hazardous to the health of a baby. Affectively Buying Clothes for Your Children

Dec 29th, 2009 by admin

Everyone has been affected by the current economy in one way or another so it’s reasonable to say that every household looks for ways to make the most of their dollar. With springtime just around the corner it’s likely that most parents have spring time clothes buying in the back of their mind. When purchasing clothes for your kids there are numerous factors involved with selecting the best quality brands at a price that makes the purchase a value. The first such factor is obviously quality. After all, if the clothes you are buying are of poor quality it will end up costing you money in the long run.Low quality means it will wear out quickly. Children are hard on clothes, especially springtime and summer clothing. Even high quality clothing will wear quicker than winter clothing because children are hard at play outside. So, it is very important that you purchase high quality clothing. Look for stitch count of the material, double stitching of the seams and slightly thicker materials. Low cost clothing is generally thinner and when stretched over your hand it’s easier to see the light sine through it.Large retail chains, low cost outlets and super stores that tout lower costs generally provide these lower cost clothes at the determent of quality. If your child is in the middle of a growth spurt or is seriously hard on clothes these types of stores can provide an adequate value/cost ratio for your dollar but for most people, they will end up replacing their children’s clothes two or more times than if they had purchased high quality clothes. Don’t be deterred if the initial cost of the clothing is higher than a super store’s because the pay off will be a much higher quality/ cost ratio that will ultimately stretch your dollar.Another very important factor about where you purchase your clothing is the fact that many brands are sold in many stores and at many prices. If it makes sense to you as to why you should avoid super stores then it would make sense that smaller boutique stores that specialize in higher quality clothing would be the place to go. In a sense that’s correct but when it comes to purchasing it is a little off. Most of the clothing found in higher end department stores and boutiques can easily be found online at a fraction of the cost from very reputable dealers. With children sizes can change from season to season so it’s always a good idea to check sizes before purchasing any clothing. Most boutique and department stores will measure your child for free. This would also be a good time to look at the new styles and trends that are popular and to try on a few items that you or your child might like. At this time, make note of what you would like to purchase and how much it will cost in that store. Avoid impulse buying and wait until you get home. Usually if you search for baby clothes online you will be able to find a reputable sales person who sells children’s or baby clothing. Usually they will have the clothing you like for much less because they do not have the very expensive overhead of brick and mortar to pay for. Also, in most cases you will not have to pay sales tax and if your order is over a certain amount, many times shipping will be free. If by chance the retail location has the item at a lower cost by all means take advantage of that deal! After all, it’s all about raising the quality/cost ratio to get the most out of your dollar.

Money Saving Tips: Order Clothes Wholesale Direct From the Chinese Clothing Manufacturers

Dec 29th, 2009 by admin

When you are in the wholesale clothing business, you are into it to make a living i.e. to make a profit from selling clothes. It is therefore crucial to get your clothes at the lowest possible price. The best way to cut costs, in the clothing business like in many industries, is to cut the middleman out of the equation and get in direct contact with the clothing manufacturer. That way, you buy wholesale clothes direct from the clothing factory and avoid additional costs. This may mean buying clothing wholesale direct from a Chinese manufacturer – or a clothing manufacturer based in an other Asian country such as Vietnam as long as the cost of labor is competitive. At Ellen Clothing Manufacturer, we make it easy to contact us directly at our clothing factory in Vietnam. We have researched ways to get phone numbers in the USA, UK and Australia. To keep the overall cost low, you are now calling us at local rate and the phone call is redirected to our Vietnam office at our cost. What Wholesale means: It is the resale of goods without any transformation of the goods. That’s more or less the definition you will find in the dictionary, however this term is commonly used to mean in large quantity or bulk. Of course the larger the quantity of clothes purchased the lower the price per garment. It’s good to keep in mind that the cost of shipping the clothes will be spread over a larger quantity also, thus making the cost per piece lower. Ideally, you will want to fill up a container of clothes. This will be achieved with around 5000 garments. From the clothing manufacturer’s perspective 5000 garments is a good quantity as it allows for a chain production. Here I am assuming that all 5000 garments are the same i.e. all 5000 garments are t-shirts, or all 5000 garments are sweaters. Did you know? When producing the clothes, it doesn’t really matter if all 5000 garments are of the same colour or not. Also, it doesn’t matter if all 5000 garments have the same printing or not. The chain works just the same way. For more information, to see how the above applies to your business, contact Ellen Clothing Manufacturer.

3 Types Of Baby Clothes – All That You Ever Need

Dec 28th, 2009 by admin

Looking for clothing for your baby could be overwhelming. There are so many outfits in so many designs that it’s hard to pick what you really need. Of course, you want that cute outfit that matches your son’s pale blue eyes. However, he already has three like it. Or, you found a cute little skirt that your daughter won’t be able to wear for a few months yet.
Sometimes you think you need lots of clothing, but in reality parents need to be reminded that there are only three types of clothing your baby really needs: daywear, sleepwear and going out clothes. To make your choices even easier, think about what your baby does most often – sleep. He or she is going to need a lot of pajamas, so give them what they need. Not what you want.
1. Daywear
Daywear should be comfortable clothing that the baby can move around in. These clothes are the going to be the ones the baby wears around the house when he or she is first to roll over and crawl. These should be able to take some abuse as they are going to beat up the most (although no clothing is really going to go through any trauma). These clothes should be able to handle food because that’s what they are going to see the most of by what misses their mouth or comes back up. Babies are going to spit up on their daywear clothes. These probably should be the least expensive clothing. Don’t put on a cute outfit only to watch green peas end up all over it. Stay away from the brand name stuff as well. You don’t want your $40 outfit getting ruined.
Onesies are perfect items for daywear. These outfits are one piece that snaps between the legs. You should have quite a few of these on hand because your baby is going to go through these quickly.
2. Sleepwear
When it comes to a baby’s sleepwear get something that is comfortable and not restrictive. You want your baby to sleep well and having clothing that is too tight could prevent that from happening. You should have different type of sleepwear depending on the weather. In warm weather, you might be inclined to the let the baby sleep in a onesie. While in the cold weather, your little bundle of joy could be bundled up in pants and a long-sleeved shirt. You are going to have a lot of sleepwear products because a baby spends most of its time sleeping.
3. Going Out Clothes
When it’s time to go out and visit grandma, this is when you get to put your baby in his or hers best clothing. You could to pull out that special lacey skirt with the ruffled top that you have been saving for your luscious daughter. This is one you get to dress up with baby. You might have less of this type of clothing than anything else because your baby is going to wear their daywear and sleepwear more often. Don’t go overboard with going out clothing because you may buy too many pieces at one time and end up with a drawer full of clothes that don’t fit in a few months.
There are some things to consider with all of the clothing before you purchase them. Check the clothes or any loose straps and buttons that may pop off easily. While certain items might be cute, they aren’t practical.
