These pants were a weird cut. The waist curls in very oddly – I think only a very particular body type would want these.

I recently purchase two pair of Dockers pants. Same SKU but different colors. These are definitely not the same pants in the department stores. After washing they needing ironing and when putting on a hanger they don’t lay flat. As if one side of the leg seam is sewn at a bias to the other. Also, the two pants appear to be made differently. The inside waist band is different. Yes, I know Amazon has a return policy but what a hassle. I prefer to go back to the store where I can examine the construction and check the fit. For a few dollars more it’s worth it.

I absolutely love the Dockers D3 khakis. They’re a bit less dressy than some other brands, but they have a much more stylish and contemporary cut than most khakis (including many of the other dockers). They probably would not look good on a heavier body type, and might look a bit silly on an older man, but I think they are extremely appropriate for someone in their mid-20s.
At some angles, they almost look to have a slight flare to the leg (I think that’s an illusion, but might give you an idea of the style), and they certainly can be a bit tighter around the waist/crotch/posterior than some other brands (but if you want to be swimming in your khakis, go with a pleated cut! And rejoice in the fact that when you move to the nursing home and have to wear adult diapers, you can still keep the same pants).
Also check out the 5-pocket version of this, which is a bit more dressed-down and a nice compromise between slacks and jeans.

I have a medium frame, and they fit me well. The fabric and cut are very comfortable. They could use a small pocket for a cell phone, but that’s nitpicking since not a lot of long pants have that. We’ll have to see about the durability, but they seem well made. Overall, a good pair of casual pants.
